This Privacy Policy describes how Peakview ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our mobile application, Peakview (the "Application").

We respect your privacy. Except for the necessary permissions required for app functionality and the third-party advertising services specified below, we do not collect, store, or upload your personally identifiable information on our own servers.

1. Permissions and Local Data Processing

To provide you with the full functionality of the Application, we request access to certain features on your device. All data processed through these permissions by us remains strictly local to your device:

• Camera Permission (CAMERA): Required exclusively for camera preview and Augmented Reality (AR) mountain identification. Images from your camera are processed locally in real-time and are never uploaded to any servers.
• Location Permission (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION): Required to recognize your current position and calculate the visible mountains from your standpoint. Your location data is processed locally on your device by the Application and is never uploaded to our servers.
• Network & Internet Permission (INTERNET): Used to download mountain peak data, topography, and updates required for the Application's functionality, as well as to load advertisements.

2. Third-Party Advertising and Information Collection

This Application uses third-party services to display advertisements. These third-party providers may collect, store, and use certain data automatically when you interact with ads in the Application.

We integrate Google AdMob to serve advertisements. Google AdMob may collect and process information including, but not limited to:

• Device information (e.g., device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers).
• Advertising identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID).
• IP address and coarse location data derived from IP addresses (used for serving localized ads).
• Usage data (e.g., ad impressions, clicks, and interactions within the application).

This data is used by Google AdMob to provide personalized or non-personalized advertising, limit the number of times you see an ad, and analyze ad performance. 3. Data Sharing and Personal Data Protection

We do not collect or store your name, contact information, or any personally identifiable data. We do not sell, trade, or rent any user information to third parties. Data collection related to advertising is handled entirely by Google AdMob according to their policies.

4. Children's Privacy

The Application is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly target or collect any information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will take necessary actions.

5. Data Retention and User Rights

We do not retain any of your personal data on our servers. For data collected by Google AdMob, retention periods are subject to Google's privacy practices. You can manage or reset your advertising identifier or opt-out of personalized ads at any time through your Android device's settings (Settings > Google > Ads).
